Saturday, aka the day i walked back to look at an apartment in wudaokou.

on the way there i saw these dogs getting frisky in the street. What made it kind of gross was that directly behind me by about three feet was a small stream of open sewage so the street was not smelling too good. Did not seem to ruin the dogs mood though.


there were a couple of cement ping pong tables on the way there as well. i took a slightly different way then before so i could see some different things. i am glad i did as i got to see this table. It would be kind of cool to put one of these outside your house. Makes net shots a real bitch though.




this is an apartment building i walked past on my way there.

the apartment i looked at was pretty awful though. i had been warned many times not to expect an apartment that was up to western standards but perhaps i was spoiled by the apartment i had seen a week before. That one was nicer than my apartment in Seattle. This one was not so good. Most of the paint was off the walls or peeling off and the place was not very clean. It is too bad because i really like the area but will probably end up living in a two bedroom closer to work which is also over a 100 us cheaper.

for dinner i ended up going out with hua and we talked about the more modern history of china which was pretty cool. Also the place where we ate had many different types of food including dog. The fact that they had this did not really bother me but the fact that the picture for it looks like every other picture in the menu slightly bothers me. It means there is a pretty good chance that i am going to point at some random dish and get trixie's cousin.

He stays away from the usual rhymes and comes up with some innovative stories based on what happens in his life and his views on personal responsibility.
