More Wednesday, these are taken in wudaokou.

this picture is the main drag. Lots of international students and international places. an English language bookstore that i did not find until later and many different kinds of restaurants. The majority of the students are Korean and Japanese so those types of restaurants are pretty heavily represented. i need to go back there and try some of these restaurants to branch out from all the different types of Chinese i have been trying.

another picture of the infamous general tso. As you can see he is battling mcdonalds. i have ate more mcdonalds here than in the last two years of living in the states. It is not because i just miss hamburgers so much but they are one of the few restaurants open around work during the spring festival. The menu is kind of different though. Almost all the chicken sandwiches are made with dark meat which makes for a much tastier sandwich. They are still filled with predominately heavier people though. Good to see us westerners spreading joy in the form of diabetes and heart disease. It is probably our secret weapon against the growing power of china. Get them all fat and sick.

i like that skateboarding is sliding. i am going to try to introduce that as the new lingo when i get back. As in "hey dude, have you checked out Tony hawk's sliding 5 yet?" "bro, sliding is the shizznit".

this is when i started thinking that i was pretty lost. The sidewalk turned into dirt and this road ended in a giant sand dune. i was able to wander my way back to the main strip though without retracing my steps. Does that bother anyone else? i hate when i am exploring new areas and get myself so thoroughly lost that i have to walk past things i have already seen. Besides it does not really help me figure out how to piece the area together. Anyways i was able to get over the dune and press onwards.

there were a bunch of people playing what i assume is mahjongg in the parking lot. i was going to try to go and gamble but thought that probably was not the best way to stay out of jail. You cannot see them in the photo. i did not realize they were playing till after i took the photo.
