A Long Walk

Instead of the zoo we decided to take a long walk around Greenlake.  Calla was good for most of the walk but towards the end it proved to be a little long.

She did like the ducks which reminded me of my childhood except I was running from the duck crying whereas she was running towards it and laughing:

Also she looked mighty cute in her hat:

Zoo Fun

To help out Morgan I watched Calla for a couple of days.  On one of them I decided to head up to the zoo with her.  Probably still a little early for her at the zoo.  The animals that are right by the windows work but the rest are not as much fun for her.  I had a blast though.

Got to see some bears which we all know will suck out your eyes in a minute if they can catch you:

Also some iguanas that were on a date:

More Painting

Although I am not sure this was as successful.  Probably because the model was difficult:

Light Painting

Without a completely dark room.  I like how this turned out and it was an interesting experiment.  Basically I set a long shutter speed and pointed the camera towards the light in the room.

Dirty Lens And Soft Focus

Let’s ride this horse till it’s tot.  More balcony shots but a more open shutter.  Looks like I need to clean the lens:

This looks almost like a Holga to me:

Bon Anniversaire Ma Soeur

Because we were at the wedding the day before, I celebrated my little sister’s birthday the next day.  We had a full day with blueberry picking at two places and some waterfall sighting as well.  Oh, her and Kip also foraged some blackberries off the side of the road.  I did not partake as I have a visceral repulsion to picking blackberries anymore (Thanks dad).  I did however enjoy the fruits of their labor (hahahahahha).

Taking care of a little business on the way there:

A Barking Frog Wedding

Yachi and I went to see our close friends Sara and Sergio get married at the Barking Frog.  We got there pretty early and wandered over to Chateau St. Michelle to hang before the wedding and made friends with some fowls:

The wedding was pretty awesome and we had a really good time.  Yachi looked beautiful as usual:

And I did not look that shabby:

It was interesting seeing a more traditional Persian wedding.  The setup was beautiful:

Sergio’s family also made some great masks which I wore all night cause they were just that awesome:

Flying In The City

Taken from the roof of the apartment building with a woefully inadequate lens but still managed to catch some decent shots.  This was my favorite:

It was pretty hard to catch all of them in the same shot especially as they did not fly in formation through Seattle much:

Amazing how close they are:
