i am back from Shanghai and have 507 pictures to go through so give me a little while to work through that. i will probably end up posting lots of Shanghai posts sprinkled throughout my regular day to day stuff.

Shanghai was awesome. i stayed with holly and Jason who i know from Microsoft and if i am ever half as good a host as they were i will be happy. Beijing seems a little less exciting in comparison. i will go more into the differences later.

today was pretty unexciting. School is getting to the point where i am learning stuff that i can actually use on the street. Although 80% of the people i talk to still don't understand me that is 20% better than it used to be. Also i can only really say numbers, here, there and family names (dad, mom, etc...) but i am using those words to their fullest.

music recommendation, janes addiction - nothing's shocking - Warner brothers. a classic rock album. Before Dave navarro joined the red hot chili peppers and still had some respect for himself. Perry farell's best album. Covers all the bases. Mountain song has your hard rock, Jane says is just an acoustic guitar. There also is a musical theater number. You hear this albums influence in 60% of the albums released before this new-wave kick.
